I can’t believe it. The end of 1996 is upon us! How fast time flies. For Shirley and me, 1996 contained several challenges. Conducting seminars is always a challenge and this year we traveled several thousand miles coast to coast (Jacksonville, FL to Riverside, CA) and from North to South (Round Rock, TX to Caldwell, ID) conducting seminars. Another personal challenge was relocating our residence from Texas to Tennessee. After our move, we conducted a campmeeting week in Durango, Colorado (video series #204).

In addition to all this, many hundreds of hours were spent composing several Day Star articles on substantial topics and visiting on the phone with many of you. Recently, Shirley successfully underwent major surgery on October 31 (gratefully, no malignancies were found). We feel very blessed with the outcome all of these events and praise God from whom all blessings flow.

Obviously, the office staff (Marty, Shelley, Suzy, Beverly and a host of volunteers) made many things possible that would not have been possible otherwise. For example, many of you requested a series of witnessing pamphlets on Salvation, Second Coming, Sabbath, Sanctuary and State of the Dead. The articles have been written and four of the five pamphlets are ready for distribution. This edition of Day Star is a sample for your evaluation. Please look it over and consider how you might use these pamphlets to benefit others.

For example, the media continues to exalt the idea that the dead are still alive and that loved ones go to Heaven or Hell at the time of death. We also hear a lot about “channeling” with the spirits of dead people. Such claims have made psychic hot lines popular. There is little or no outcry from most religious leaders on this great deception because they are the ones fostering the notion that man does not die at death! So, perhaps this pamphlet will be helpful to some of your friends!

In closing, I must mention that tens of thousands of books have been distributed in Texas, Alabama, Michigan, Africa and India during 1996. In addition, many projects not mentioned in this letter were also completed during 1996 because of your prayers, financial support and enthusiastic sharing.

I know that in days to come, the tiny seeds of truth that have been sown will contribute to the great harvest of souls that will meet the Lord in the air. Think how wonderful it will be to learn that someone found salvation through your efforts to share the good news!

Obviously, our Lord has delayed His coming a few days. We cannot interpret His delay as grounds for spiritual carelessness or negligence.

Surely, we must remain urgent and vigilant in watching and praying. Stay awake and God will bless you in every possible way as we face the challenges and opportunities of 1997.

In His Service,

Larry Wilson
